Who we are

Established in November 2015 by a proven management team and a wholly owned subsidiary of Investec Bank plc, Investec Capital Solutions provides an innovative new working capital facility for the SME sector, called ‘Intelligent Cashflow’.

Investec Capital Solutions is led by two highly experienced and proven market specialists, John Wilde and David Hogg, who previously set up SME Invoice Finance in January 2000, building the client base to circa 600, managed by team of 85 nationally with £60m Funds In Use, before sale in August 2013. The management team includes widely respected industry professionals Simon Carter, Pym Metharu, James Bingham and Graham Plater, bringing over 100 years of collective sector experience.

Investec Capital Solutions is a full and active member of the Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA) and is also a patron of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB). David Hogg was a member of the development committee for the ABFA code of conduct and John Wilde is a former chair of the Invoice Finance Group, a subset of the main ABFA committee.

Our primary administration offices are in Guildford with a sales presence covering the whole of England & Wales.

Who we fund

ICS typically looks to engage with owner-managed businesses with annual sales between £500k and £50m. We have no specific sector exclusions but the receivable must provide satisfactory security value.

We will seek to structure a bespoke facility for every individual client’s needs and our underwriting approach is based on core lending fundamentals: character, capacity and collateral.

We are also able to work across three major currencies — Sterling, Euro & US Dollar.
