Funding Xchange recognised as Best Investment in FinTech

Funding Xchange was honoured with two awards at the UK Angel Investment Awards 2016: Scooping the prestigious prize for ‘Best Investment in Fintech’ as well as being called out as “One to Watch” in the category ‘Best Investment in a High Growth Woman Founder.’

Katrin Herrling, Co-Founder and CEO of Funding Xchange commented: “Our angel investors have been much more than financial backers of our team — they have been an incredible source of advice and support as we have built our business. For Funding Xchange, Angel funding was absolutely critical to fund our growth as it also allowed us to remain completely independent of any Bank or funder we work with, ensuring we do not compromise the unbiased service and transparency of the offers we give to our customer.”

Olivier Beau de Loménie, Co-Founder and CTO of Funding Xchange commented: “We are delighted to be recognised by the UK Business Angels Association as Best Investment in FinTech. We have always focused on solving a real customer challenge through the intelligent use of technology. We start by listening to businesses to understand their challenges. Funding Xchange is employing technology to give business more control over their funding journey by creating transparency of funding options and terms. The strength of Funding Xchange, and other businesses I have been involved with – like Ocado – is the ability to apply technology to solve real customer challenges.”

The UKBAA Judges commented: “‘Funding Xchange is addressing a clear underserved market for growing small businesses and has developed a disruptive technology to cut through the process to access alternative finance sources. It has been successful in being one the first platforms authorised for businesses rejected from the Banks to find help and access to relevant other finance. The business has attracted a strong range of investors and co-investment from angels to VCs to support its further growth and scale-up”
