Putting business owners in control of selecting lenders.
Our lenders include the biggest ‘names’ in alternative finance including Funding Circle, iwoca, Market Invoice and Capital on Tap as well as smaller niche players that offer attractive products to sub segments of the market.
We have helped 100,000 small businesses understand their finance options by providing our technology to Price Comparison Websites like MoneySuperMarket and Money.co.uk to fuel their Business Funding channels as well as other partners such as Experian, Sage and Monzo. We have also integrated access to finance into payment solutions and cloud accounting software to provide a seamless experience for small businesses.
Funding Xchange is designated by HM Treasury as a Finance Referral Platform and works with nine UK banks to help their customers access finance solutions if they are not ready for bank finance.

Title: Data Analyst – MI & Operations

The Role
Main opportunities
- You
will play a valuable role in building upon the data insight capabilities
of the FXE platform. These include
such varied areas as customer identification, customer conversion, product
performance, marketing performance and customer service. Being able to automate these insights so
that senior management have a permanently available and up-to-date set of
dashboards will be a key requirement.
You will gain a broad perspective of the entire business and see first-hand
how data can be leveraged to create real commercial value and insights.
- A key
area of support will be helping optimise our business, through developing
insights into individual lender performance, how each lender is reflected
in our platform and developing capabilities to establish the impact of any
single or group of lenders on another. This support will leverage rich
data on customers from third party sources, finance products, approved
funding and importantly funding declines to help us and our lenders to optimise
the use of our platform.
Key responsibilities
of role
- Building,
creating, developing complex relationships between datasets to create an integrated
platform for gaining business insights from the Funding Xchange platform
- Measurement
of commercial value achieved from implementation of identified KPIs, data
insights and initiatives
- Customer
profiling of FXE users to build a picture of the businesses, people and
financial health of business users of the FXE service
- Digital
Performance – Measurement of website conversion and build out of
commercial KPIs to enable best-in-class trading performance and reporting
- Liquidity
profiling – Alignment and correlation of customer profiling (demand) vs
liquidity available from lenders (supply) and identification of lender
cross over, liquidity by product, segment, value, customer type etc.
- Lender
commercial performance – building out of KPIs to highlight and track lead
performance. Track sales conversion by lender and commercial
performance and develop data-driven recommendations to improve lead
conversion.
- Customer
service – Analyse the metrics of our growing customer service team to help
drive key business decisions
- Technical
– Work with the development team to help them enable the capture of data
for analytics / insights
- Creating
live dashboards that integrate Funding Xchange’s leading funding platform
Necessary education:
- Bachelors’
degree (Engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, business)
or similar coursework or technical program
Experience required:
- At
least 3-5 years’ professional experience in a data analysis role (e.g.,
consulting, or data analyst-type role)
- Exceptional
business analytics and quantitative skills and demonstrated experience
analysing complex data
- Advanced
Excel and Power BI user who can distil insights into visual graphs /
tables for use in PowerPoint presentations
- SQL expertise is a key requirement
- Any
past programming, especially Python / technical experience is an asset (as
you will likely pick-up our systems more quickly)
- Experience
/ knowledge of financial services, fintech, technology are assets
- Strong
written and oral communication skills
